Auditions

If you are interested in performing with a dynamic group of musicians, then the Alton Symphony Orchestra encourages you to audition. The orchestra is made up of amateur and professional musicians from the community. Orchestra members must be 16 years or older to audition and those under the age of 18 must be enrolled in private lessons and have consent of their instructor to audition (as well as have an adult present at rehearsals).

We are auditioning for the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, and Percussion. Additionally we are auditioning for Principal Violin 2 and Principal Viola. Please prepare the materials linked below for each instrument. (Principal Viola and Percussion information will be updated soon.)

We are also looking for substitutes for all instruments. Please use the audition link above if you would like to be a substitute.
