Alton Symphony Orchestra Auditions

If you are interested in performing with a dynamic group of musicians, then the Alton Symphony Orchestra encourages you to audition. The orchestra is made up of amateur and professional musicians from the community. Orchestra members under the age of 18 must be enrolled in private lessons and have consent of their instructor to audition.

The ASO will be holding auditions for the 2019-2020 Season starting Monday August, 26, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in Hatheway Cultural Center on Lewis & Clark Community College Campus. Please e-mail us to confirm an audition at altonsymphony@gmail.com.

We are auditioning for the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion. Please prepare the following excerpts, 2 minutes of music that shows technical and lyrical skills, and an E Major scale, and C minor scale.

Alton Symphony Orchestra does not discredit auditions based on age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation.
