EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH
The ASO has committed itself to supporting music education and young musicians. The Alton Symphony Orchestra is proud to sponsor our two educational programs, designed to help young musicians showcase their talents and further their music education through scholarships. We encourage all young musicians to audition for the Marie Stillwell Young Artists' Competition and/or apply for The ASO Music For All Scholarship.
The Marie Stillwell Young Artists' Competition
Also referred to as the ASO's Concerto Competition, the Marie Stillwell Young Artists' Competition is hosted annually for young musicians to compete for the chance to showcase their talents and win the opportunity to perform in concert with the Alton Symphony Orchestra.
